Research Interests

I am an experimental condensed matter physicist studying quantum materials. One of my primary approaches is to apply ultrafast techniques to study electron interactions on their natural timescales. More recently, I have been interested in the role of the electron’s spin degree-of-freedom, particularly in the context of spin-orbit coupling, new forms of magnetism, and unconventional superconductivity. My goal is to achieve a deeper understanding of the physics of quantum materials including superconductors and topological materials, and to develop approaches for controlling the relevant degrees-of-freedom.
