Research Interests

My research interest focuses on discovering and understanding emergent phenomena in strongly correlated quantum materials. One direction is the search for quantum spin liquid in geometrically frustrated magnets where conventional magnetic ordering is strongly suppressed by quantum spin fluctuations. This is an exotic state of matter that features massive quantum entanglement and can carry fractionalized excitations. I am also interested in the fascinating interplay between various forms of electronic symmetry breaking and superconductivity in unconventional superconductors. Essential parts of my research activities involve advanced spectroscopy measurements at large neutron and X-ray facilities.
